The Brown chroma has a nice contrast between the darker and lighter colours mostly with her skin. What stands out is the blue rifle because the rest is a bit dull. The main colours are similar but weaker and less intense. The Blue chroma strikes as a washed out, less colourful version of Caitlyn’s classic look. The Cobalt one isn’t bad but doesn’t work as well as the others. No chroma is really bad but the Gunmetal is the most appealing while the Molten has its charm. The grey shades with black highlights make for a fantastic industrial look that surely makes it the star of the pack.Īll in all, this is an uneven pack with something good, passable and great respectively. The Gunmetal chroma is the one that truly makes the pack: a steel golem. Therefore, the result isn’t as attractive. For that reason it works similarly but there isn’t as much contrast as the blue is lighter. The Cobalt chroma is just as direct: a main blue colour with yellow highlights. The tones are a bit too dark but the result is pleasing to the eye. The contrast of colours works well and makes him stand out. It turns Blitzcrank into a red golem with yellow highlights. The Molten chroma is quite straightforward. The main colours aren’t always the stars and the supporting ones tend to rely on the classic look. Overall, this is a pack that offers a nice feature per chroma yet the rest isn’t noteworthy. What sets this chroma apart is the distinct blue tones though. Additionally, there’s too much reliance on similar, muted tones so the look can feel washed out. However, that also means that the yellow glow of the flute doesn’t fit. What makes this chroma special is the contrast of tones.įinally, the Sage chroma relies on blue tones to easily stand apart from the classic style. The clothes also have a pleasing variety thanks to the contrast between hues and the meeps also stand out. The dark mask shows good contrast with the bright eyes and mouth. The Ivy chroma also shows a similarity to the classic colours. Red aside, there’s a brighter beard and clothes but the star is the red. There’s still an evident similarity to the classic colours though. That gives a subtle sinister feel to the mask, clothes and meeps. It's a fantastic idea, held back by poor execution. The Marigold chroma seems a bit darker in style with more use of red.
#DARIUS CHROMAS SKIN#
Most of all, I hope that Riot won't drop these skins, realize they're selling poorly because they picked a bunch of unfitting characters and then never look at this kind of skin line or aesthetic again. It's not even like it's particularly inspired or anything, it just feels shoehorned in. I could go on, but point is: A lot of champions would fit a lot better than Darius. There's also Fiddlesticks, Kai'Sa, Kassadin, Malzahar, Nidalee, Elise. Sett or Swain would have fit here perfectly as well, not to mention Illaoi. Would've preferred other characters here, but I don't mind them too much Darius - What? You seriously couldn't figure out a better character for this skin line than the axe lad? Lots of people in the comments are saying Jhin, and I agree. Alkali and Zyra - A bit weird, but I can forgive it. The distorted voices add a lot, the colors look nice and the recall animations are sick. So Shaco and Twisted Fate - Perfect inclusions, love it.
